Sports Training“I have been training at Select Sports Training with Greg since the summer of my senior year in High School. He helped me tremendously to achieve many things in my high school career. I believe I got most of my success due to him because I continued to get stronger and faster in the middle of my football season. As a senior I received many awards including a state championship ring and I believe that Greg is the reason most of this happened. I was the Knoxville offensive player of the year, region 2-3A offensive MVP, All-State, All-Region, Prepxtra team, and rushed for over 1,500 yards. I also received several scholarship opportunities to continue my athletic career. Not only did I get stronger and faster but he made me believe in myself and push myself to do better. Greg is not only a great trainer but he is a person you can talk to and you can relate to about a lot of things. He never took no for an answer always making me finish what I started. This helped me then and is helping me now at the University of Indianapolis where I am redshirting. It’s hard sitting here not playing but Greg still stays in contact with me telling me to keep going and that I will get my chance. He has been a great trainer and even a better friend. Greg has made me a better athlete and person overall. Thanks Greg for all you have done.”

“I began training with Gregory the summer after my freshman year swimming in
college. While working out with Gregory was intense, it was also the most
enjoyable part of my training for the summer. Gregory makes sure every workout
is unique and has a purpose; you never waste a minute of time with him. The
strength I gained over just 3 months was remarkable. I improved in every
aspect of weight training, and that transferred over to the pool and my
swimming. I would recommend Gregory to any athlete trying to better
themselves and make it to the next level.”

“This past summer my coaches and my mom wanted me to become more flexible, because I wasn’t even able to touch my toes. And once you get to the collegiate swimming level, you have to do everything you can to improve. I currently swim for Virginia Tech and I swam at the 2008 Olympic Trials. I knew that I needed to do something to take my swimming to the next level, and flexibility is a key issue in swimming. I started going to Select Sports Training 2-3 times a week for an hour and went through a flexibility routine that Greg designed for me. I continued the routine throughout the entire summer and not only did my flexibility improve, but I got stronger and more fit. I was able to drop a tremendous amount of time in my races and I was in so much better shape. Greg really made a difference in my swimming and now I can easily touch my toes. I can’t thank him enough for what he has done for swimming career and I look forward to working with him this summer.”

Swim Training“Hi! My name is Meredith and I swim at Stanford University. I am currently finishing up my senior year and, I am in my last season of competition. When I am home from Stanford, training with Gregory has been incredibly helpful. Whether I am home for the summer or a holiday break, Gregory always pushes me to the next level. I believe that the one on one attention he gives during a workout is very beneficial. He does not let anyone slack off, and he challenges and motivates me even when I do not necessarily want to work out. When I came back to school this fall for training camp, my teammates could not believe how many pull ups I could do! I definitely feel like my strength improved while working out with Gregory and I would recommend him to anyone!”

Sports Training“Starting off with my junior year, I realized that if I wanted to succeed in high school football then I would have to put in the work. I looked around the area for a trainer to help me work on my strength, speed, and agility. I was recommended to check out Greg Rolfes from a friend and see if I liked his teaching methods. After beginning to train with Rolfes, I quickly began to notice my strength numbers drastically rising and my speed times being lowered. Rolfes used his expert knowledge of training strategies to help me excel throughout my junior season and into the summer combine season. I participated various combines and camps during the summer at hopes of getting noticed by college scouts. I attended the National Underclassmen combine in Atlanta and ended up winning the DB MVP award for the camp. I was then invited to the Top 100 National Underclassmen camp back in Atlanta for the top performers in the southeast. I again excelled and was named to the Top 100 southeast prospects according to Rivals.com. This is when I began to receive letters from colleges, interested in recruiting me. Without Rolfes’ training I would not have excelled during these camps. Not only is Rolfes a great trainer, he also cares about his clients and will talk to them about anything that is on their mind. He doesn’t simply tell you what to do; he communicates with you and lays out a plan for maximum improvement all while developing a relationship.”

Growing up in knoxville I always wanted to play football for the University of Tennessee. I began training with Greg the winter of my junior year in high school.  The majority of that year I was unable to play golf tournaments because of a serious case of mono, but once I got close to being healthy again, I knew I needed to get a lot stronger and more fit if I was going to be the type of player I wanted to be.  Due to my illness, I was very weak, and not hitting the ball near as far as I needed to.  Not only that, but my swing was faltering in some important areas because of my lack of strength. Over two years of training with Greg, he met and exceeded all of the goals I had before beginning to train with him. I gained a considerable amount of distance off the tee—probably around 35 yards—while also gaining a great deal of strength to improve my swing.  With these improvements, thanks to the work with Greg, my swing speed increased by seven to eight miles per hour, along with making my swing more mechanically sound and repetitive.
The results I received from my work with Greg did not stop at just my golf.  Although I have always been a very driven individual, Greg always pushed me to be my best and to accomplish everything that I could.  In times where I was struggling on or off the golf course, he pushed me to stay positive and focused, and always would give me the little extra bit of motivation I needed.  Greg is not only a great trainer, but he is a great friend that I can always count on.  Without all my work with Greg at Select Sports Training, I know that I would not be where I’m at today.

Select sports Training was the best choice I made going into high school.  Coming into my freshmen year I was an okay athlete.  By the end of my junior year, I had become a division 1 athlete by training everyday with Greg.  He made me Bigger, Faster, Stronger.
